A Scottish band formed in 2002 in Glasgow (UK), Franz Ferdinand are among the protagonists of the indie rock scene of the 2000s. The group, led by the charismatic frontman Alex Kapranos, is currently completed by Bob Hardy on bass, Dino Bardot on guitar, Julian Corrie on keyboards and Audrey Tait on drums, with a lineup that has undergone several changes over time.

From their early days, organizing illegal parties in dilapidated buildings in their city, Franz Ferdinand stood out for their innovative and bold approach: a disruptive artistic vision, combined with big riffs, engaging melodies and powerful ideas. Their sound, characterized by infectious rhythms, sharp guitars and ironic lyrics, imposed itself with the self-titled debut album in 2004, driven by the single “Take Me Out”, a global success.

With albums like “You Could Have It So Much Better” (2005) and “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand” (2009), they consolidated their reputation thanks to songs like “Do You Want To” and “No You Girls”. Their musical style mixes post-punk, funk and dance-rock, making them one of the most progressive bands of their generation thanks to their constant reinvention while keeping alive the energy that made them icons of the alternative sphere.

The sixth album, “The Human Fear” (2025), embodies the energy that fear unleashes, reminding us that fear is what makes us alive and human. A feeling that permeates every decisive moment in life: from the beginning or end of a relationship to the courage to face a stage. Not just an album, but a hymn to living a full and conscious life, accompanied by a sound refined but faithful to the origins, which combines rhythm, vulnerability and audacity.
